Mystery Photo-- Galarneau(x) family

I recently rescued this cute Thanksgiving postcard from an antique shop.

It's written to Harry Galarneau, Jr --- from his Mother.
At the time Harry was living in Oregon and the postcard was sent from California.

Brief research indicates that Harry Galarneau(x) was born in 1894, the son of Harry Sr & Henrietta "Etta". It appears his parents divorced at some point, probably around the time of this postcard, judging from the message.  I did find a Findagrave memorial for Harry, but otherwise have done little research into the family.

It'd be great to reunite it with a relative who would treasure the postcard written 106 years ago, in a Mother's loving hand.

  1. Thanks, Ellie! I thought it was a cute card--- and perhaps of a bigger genealogy importance, as it seemed this young boy came from a broken family. I hope a relative will stumble upon it here, and claim it.

  2. I am the granddaughter of Harry Galarneauex, a novice at genealogy it has been difficult tracking his family line. Yes his parents divorced, mother became an actress with the stage name of Etta Delmas, my mom says they were not allowed to call her Grandmother but called her Mopsy. I believe he was an only child, the last name changed from Galarneau to Galarneaux. I am interested in the post card, just trying to figure out how to, all my research is on the computer but am not very proficient at it.

If you send me your address, I will send you the postcard. In fact, I have a Christmas one also.
You should have them for your family archive!
